What 𖪪 means
In Muishvung, read it as /b/. Ba is a consonant letter; its final “a” belongs to the letter’s name, not an extra vowel sound. Tangsa writes vowels with separate letters. The Tangsa languages form a network of varieties spoken in northeastern India and northwest Myanmar; several Latin-based spelling systems are also used across that network.
Lakhum Mossang began developing the alphabet in 1990 for Muishvung, the variety he spoke; a 2003 chart shows an early full version. Later revisions aimed to include other Tangsa varieties. The Tangsa Script Development Committee formed in 2019 and promoted it at Pangsau Pass Festival, a community event, in January 2020. Mossang wrote a traditional-song manuscript in it; the committee produced a COVID-19 information leaflet in 2020. By 2020, active use centered on Muishvung. A 2020 proposal to encode it describes the alphabet as independently developed, with no inherited script ancestry.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖪪 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
