What 𖩺 means
A short schwa-like vowel with tone 4. The schwa /ə/ is the quick, unstressed vowel at the start of English about. Tangsa writes each vowel in four tone-specific letter forms; the Q in Vq marks the fourth tone in the Latin spelling system developed by Reverend Gam Win.
Why was the V series added?
To mark the short vowel separately from longer /a/. Lakhum Mossang created the Tangsa alphabet in 1990 for Muishvung, his own Tangsa variety. Tangsa varieties are spoken across northeast India and northwest Myanmar, and some are also written with Latin-based spellings.
Mossang taught the alphabet by hand and prepared lessons using traditional songs and a prayer to show how it could support literacy and preserve culture. In a 2019 revision, the Tangsa Script Development Committee added the V series to cover more varieties and distinguish the short vowel from the longer A vowel; an earlier A-plus-I spelling could be ambiguous.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖩺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
