What 𖩸 means
It marks the schwa vowel with tone category Z.
In Gam Win’s Latin spelling of Muishvung, z after a vowel marks tone 1, a low, falling pitch. Other Tangsa varieties realize that category differently.
Why was Vz added?
To distinguish short schwa from a similar “a” vowel.
Lakhum Mossang created this alphabet in 1990 to write Tangsa. A 2019 revision added four V letters, one for each tone. The earlier Tangsa spelling of “rice” could read as two syllables, “tsa-mi”; the revised sequence is 𖪶𖩸𖪫.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𖩸 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
