What 𘡵 means
It marked a position in a formula for describing characters. In the manuscript labeled “C” from a Tangut reference work, 𘡵 appears in a four-character formula that explains another character’s structure. Seven labels mark the left side, right side, top, bottom, surrounding, middle, or the whole character; 𗡼 is the full ideograph for “right side.”
Emperor Li Yuanhao ordered the Tangut script in 1036 as part of state-building and to distinguish Tangut from China’s Song dynasty. Its design drew on Chinese writing and the script traditions of the neighboring Khitan people. Tangut texts carried Buddhist writings and Chinese works translated into Tangut.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘡵 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
