What 𘣜 means
It is a character part, not a word. The number 221 is an index label; the component's role depends on the full character.
Tangut writing was created for the Western Xia (Xixia) state in 1036 and served government records and Buddhist texts; it is attested as late as 1502 (1036–1502). Chinese writing influenced its design, while Khitan script-making offered an earlier precedent for a state-created script; Tangut remained distinct. Early dictionaries had no Tangut radical indexes; modern dictionaries use components to organize characters. Unicode also uses them in written descriptions of how full characters are built.
Neutral as a scholarly label; outside Tangut study, opaque on its own.
Do not treat it as a standalone Tangut word.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘣜 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut Components block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
