What 𘧃 means
A structural piece used to index Tangut characters.
Components help describe Tangut characters and locate them in dictionaries.
Tangut writing was created in 1036–1037 for Western Xia state records. Its earliest surviving document is an official dispatch from 1072. It survived through the Yuan and Ming dynasties, ending by the Ming’s close. Radical systems vary; Unicode 18.0 files 𘧃 as Tangut radical 196. Tangut’s design may reflect the earlier Khitan Small Script, another script used in northern China; this is a script-level link, not 𘧃’s origin.
If 𘧃 appears as a box, the active font lacks its glyph.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘧃 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
