What 𘪠 means
It marks structure, not meaning. Components map how character parts fit together; indexes use component shape and stroke count to locate whole characters.
The Tangut (Xixia) script was created under Western Xia's first emperor around 1036 to write the language of that medieval kingdom in today's northwestern China. It appears in official and religious books, sutras, inscriptions, and manuscripts, and remained in use under Yuan and Ming rule after the kingdom fell; it became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. Western Xia dictionaries sorted characters by sound; modern dictionaries use differing component-and-stroke indexes. Unicode's component set brings several dictionary traditions together.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘪠 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
