What 𘪫 means
It is a lookup piece, not a word with a translation. Tangut components help scholars describe characters and organize dictionary entries. The number in this component's name is an index label, not a gloss for the character.
Tangut (also called Xixia) was created under Western Xia's first emperor about 1036 to write the Tangut language, spoken in what is now northwestern China. After Western Xia fell to the Mongols, Tangut writing continued during the Yuan and Ming dynasties and became obsolete by the end of the Ming. Rediscovered in the late 19th century, the script was largely deciphered in the early 20th century, especially through N. A. Nevskij's work. Today, scholars use components to index Tangut characters in dictionaries and describe how they are built. Tangut forms can resemble Chinese characters, but the scripts are unrelated.
A specialist reference component for Tangut character lookup and script study.
Treat 684 as an index label, not a word meaning.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘪫 show as a box?
A font without Tangut Components coverage cannot draw it, so a fallback may show a missing-glyph box. The text still contains the exact character.
