What 𗂅 means
It names a government officeholder.
The Tangut minister character, 𗂅, belongs to the Western Xia script, introduced in 1036 by ruler Li Yuanhao. Scholar Yeli Renrong made models showing how to write its characters. The script marked Tangut identity alongside Song China.
Khitan scripts, used by a neighboring people, supplied an earlier model; Chinese regular script (a block style) also influenced Tangut design, but the characters are not direct Chinese copies. The script carried a Buddhist canon (a collection of sacred texts), Chinese translations, and secular works. Tangut writing survived in manuscripts and monuments through the mid-Ming period.

1Why does 𗂅 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
