What 𗍑 means

Its exact reading and meaning remain unresolved.

The number in its catalog name is an inventory label, not a translation.

How did Tangut writing outlive Western Xia?

The script survived the Western Xia state.

The court standardized it around 1036; its earliest surviving example is an official document from 1072. Tangut writing served Buddhist texts and translations. In 1307, the Yuan published a 3,620-chapter Buddhist canon in Tangut. Use continued into the second decade of the 14th century; the language was effectively dead by the late 1330s.

No. It is Tangut. Tangut writing drew on Chinese and Khitan models, the writing tradition of a neighboring people; that does not give this glyph a Chinese reading.
