What 𗝱 means
It is a Tangut character, not an emoji or Chinese ideograph. Unicode names for Tangut characters are built from code points, so the name identifies the character but does not translate it. A 2008 dictionary of Tangut characters by Li Fanwen indexes 𗝱 as entry 4352; its reconstructed reading, written ·wejr, is a scholarly estimate of the old pronunciation, not an English gloss.
In 1036, Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao ordered the creation of Tangut script for state-building. Its uses included translating Buddhist scripture and marking a political identity distinct from the Song dynasty. The earliest transmitted Tangut document is an official dispatch dated 1072.
Tangut writing appeared in official, private, religious, literary, and translated Chinese texts. It continued after the Western Xia state fell in 1227, and a surviving inscription dates to 1502. Tangut script-builders followed earlier Khitan script-making and borrowed Chinese visual and compositional principles, while making a distinct script.
Why does 𗝱 show as a box?
A missing Tangut font can make it appear as a box. Unicode also unifies some historical glyph variants, so Tangut fonts may draw this character differently. A box or fallback glyph signals a display problem, not a different character.
This supplementary-plane character takes two code units in UTF-16. If an input API exposes those units separately, handle them as one character and use a full-code-point escape.
Research-oriented, not conversational: use it when the recipient expects Tangut text or rare-script discussion.
A box can mean missing font support; it does not identify another character.

1Why does 𗝱 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
