What 𗢤 means
It is a Tangut character glossed as “grave.”
The script took shape around 1036–1037 for the Western Xia state’s government and Buddhist translations. The latest known Tangut inscription is dated 1502, long after the state fell.
Tangut writing drew on Chinese and Khitan models but is a separate script. Tangut dictionaries grouped characters by components, recurring parts of written forms; components show structure, not a full translation.
Historical and specialist; include the gloss for readers unfamiliar with Tangut.
Why does 𗢤 show as a box? The active font lacks Tangut glyphs.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗢤 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
