What 𗣒 means
In Tangut, 𗣒 means “round.”
Created under Western Xia’s first emperor around 1036 to write Tangut, the script appears in official, private, and religious texts. It remained in use in Yuan and Ming texts before becoming obsolete. Its characters can look Chinese, but Tangut is a distinct script.
A blank box in place of 𗣒 means the font lacks Tangut coverage.
Historical and scholarly, rather than conversational.
“Tangut Ideograph-178D2” identifies the character; it does not mean “round.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗣒 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
