What 𗣮 means
The dictionary entry translates it as “a surname.”
That describes a word class, not one modern family's name.
The Tangut script was created under the first emperor of the Western Xia kingdom about 1036 for a language spoken in today's northwestern China. It appeared in official, private, and religious texts, including sutras. Use continued under Yuan and Ming rule after the Mongol conquest; it became obsolete by Ming's end. Rediscovered in the late 19th century, it became a subject of specialist study.
Historical and specialist: this belongs to Tangut-language material.
Chinese-like shape? It is Tangut, a separate script.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗣮 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
