What 𗣳 means
It means “to write” in Tangut.
Is 𗣳 a Chinese character?
No. 𗣳 belongs to the Tangut script, a separate writing system.
The Tangut script was created around 1036 for Western Xia’s official and cultural life. It appeared in government records, Buddhist translations, books and inscriptions. Tangut writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227, under Yuan and Ming rule, before becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
Tangut writing borrowed structural ideas from Chinese but remained a separate script. Scholars analyze 𗣳 as a borrowing from Chinese 寫, which also means “to write”; the characters are related but not interchangeable.
Register: historical and specialist; reading it requires knowledge of Tangut.
A font without Tangut support may show a box instead of 𗣳.

1Why does 𗣳 show as a box?
The active font may not include Tangut. A Tangut-capable font can display 𗣳, but its shape alone still does not tell you how to read it.
