What 𗭋 means
It is one character in the Tangut writing system. Tangut writing records the now-extinct Tangut language. A Tangut dictionary entry gives this glyph’s word and reading; in a passage, the surrounding characters help identify it.
The script was developed around 1036 for the Western Xia state, where schools taught it for official use. Tangut writing appears in state documents, dictionaries, law codes, letters, Buddhist translations, and printed works.
An early woodblock print dates to 1084, and surviving manuscripts include 12th–13th century examples. After Western Xia fell, Tangut writing continued in religious use: two pillars inscribed with dhāraṇī, short Buddhist formulas, date to 1502.

Questions people ask
2Can I read 𗭋 as Chinese?
No. Tangut is a separate writing system for the Tangut language. Resemblance to Chinese characters does not give this glyph a Chinese reading.
Why does 𗭋 show as a square?
The font in use probably lacks a Tangut glyph. A font with Tangut coverage can display it; the character in the text has not changed.
