What 𗶘 means
It means “shame” or “disgrace” in Tangut.
Why was Tangut writing created?
It helped establish a Tangut state and support Buddhist texts. In 1036, Li Yuanhao ordered its creation to support a Tangut state identity and a Buddhist canon—a collection of Buddhist scriptures—in Tangut.
Tangut writing remained in use after the Western Xia (Xixia) state fell. A Tangut manuscript from Khara-Khoto, dated to the 12th or early 13th century, contains translated Chinese material. Tangut texts also include law, classics, and literature; the last known Tangut inscription dates to 1502.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
