What 𗻔 means
Its dictionary gloss is “a kind of grass.” Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut–Chinese dictionary indexes it as L2008-2289.
Tangut script took shape in the 11th century to write the language of the Western Xia state. It appeared in Buddhist translations, legal texts, and works translated from Chinese. A 12th-century manuscript from Khara-khoto shows it in use there. Tangut writing was modeled on Chinese and Khitan scripts but remained distinct; 𗻔 is Tangut.
Historical and specialist; its meaning comes from a Tangut dictionary entry.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗻔 show as a box?
A box usually means the font lacks Tangut glyphs. A font with Tangut coverage can display it; the box is a rendering problem, not another meaning.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
