What 𘊺 means

The “happy” gloss belongs to the phrase, not to 𘊺 alone.

Li Yuanhao ordered the script in 1036 for Western Xia state-building and Buddhist texts. It drew on Chinese writing and scripts used by neighboring Khitan people, yet remained distinct. Tangut carried translations of Chinese and Tibetan works, classics, military texts, and literature. Manuscripts survive from the 12th or early 13th century; use continued after Western Xia into the mid-Ming period, the middle of China’s Ming dynasty.
