What 𘋁 means
The code-based label identifies a character, not its gloss.
A character-level Tangut dictionary is needed for its gloss and historical reading; Chinese resemblance cannot supply either.
The Tangut script was established around 1036 for Western Xia's official and cultural work. After the empire fell, it continued in Yuan- and Ming-period texts, including Buddhist sutras, before becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
Why do fonts draw 𘋁 differently?
Tangut texts preserve historical glyph variants.
Some shape variants are non-contrastive—that is, they do not distinguish one character from another—and share one Unicode identity. Separately catalogued variants remain distinct; fonts may draw the same character differently.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘋁 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
