What 𘌇 means
Its documented gloss is “ear of grain.”
The spelling niọ is a scholarly Latin transcription of the reconstructed Tangut reading. The Tangut script was created around 1036 for the Western Xia state and its Buddhist canon; it also carried translated Chinese works, legal texts, and other religious books.
Tangut writing continued through the Yuan and Ming periods before falling out of use. Its signs drew inspiration from Chinese writing and Khitan scripts, but Tangut is a separate writing system.

1Why does 𘌇 show as a box?
It can. An app needs a font with Tangut coverage to draw this character; without one, its fallback may show a box.

𘌇\18307Why is 𘌇 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
