What 𘓓 means
It means filial piety in Tangut.
Filial piety is respect and care for parents. A Tangut manuscript from the 13th century uses 𘓓 in the title of the Chinese Classic of Filial Piety; scholars reconstruct its pronunciation differently.
Western Xia emperor Jingzong commissioned the Tangut script in 1036 for official and cultural use. It appears in Buddhist texts and continued into the Yuan period after Western Xia fell.
Is 𘓓 Chinese or Tangut?
It is Tangut.
Chinese 孝 is a translation counterpart in some Tangut texts, but the glyphs are not interchangeable. Add a gloss for readers unfamiliar with Tangut.
Without a Tangut font, 𘓓 may appear as a missing-character box.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘓓 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𘓓\184D3Why is 𘓓 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
