What 𘗯 means
It means “false”; in a sentence, it can mean “falsely.”
A Tangut dictionary index glosses the word written with 𘗯 as “false.” A scholarly translation of a sentence renders the same word as “falsely”: the English changes with the word’s grammatical role.
Tangut writing is attested from around 1036. The Western Xia state developed the script for the Tangut language, drawing on Chinese and Khitan writing models while writing a distinct language. It appears in official documents, Buddhist translations, and other books. After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued during the Yuan and Ming periods; the last known inscription dates to 1502.
