What 𘚈 means
A Tangut–Chinese dictionary glosses it as “to sell.” Its scholarly transcription is zjo, also written źjo.
Created around 1036 for Western Xia, Tangut writing continued after the state fell in 1227. A Buddhist edition appeared under the Yuan dynasty in 1247.
An empty box means the font or app lacks a Tangut glyph. Manuscripts also preserve variants; appearance alone cannot identify a different character.
𘚈 is a historical Tangut text character, not an emoji.
Don’t rely on it as a modern “for sale” sign.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘚈 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
