What 𑓐 means
It marks zero in Tirhuta’s decimal system. Tirhuta descends from Gauḍī (Proto-Bengali); Gauḍī grew from Kuṭila, a branch of the older Brahmi script, by the 10th century. Its earliest records are temple inscriptions from the 13th century.
It first served Sanskrit; from the 14th century it also wrote Maithili. By the 20th century, Devanagari was Maithili’s main script. Tirhuta served family records, religious and literary works, letters, signs, exams, and digital publications.
Neutral as a numeral.
Without a Tirhuta font, it may render as a blank or fallback box.
