What ꔉ means
It represents a Vai syllable transcribed as kpee.
Vai writing developed so Vai speakers could record their language for communication, record keeping, trade, and teaching. Scholars place the script’s beginning around 1832 or 1833; its earliest known surviving sample is a one-page manuscript dated 1834.
Vai was a model for the Mende, Loma, and Kpelle scripts, and may have influenced Bamum; a proposed connection with Cherokee remains disputed.
Ordinary in Vai writing; opaque when detached from the sentence.
A bare ꔉ does not tell you what the sender intends.
