What 󠄦 means
It only works after the Han character it modifies.
The base is a Han character (Chinese writing also used as Japanese kanji and Korean hanja). Together, the pair selects a registered glyph, or written shape; VS55’s number alone names no form.
The proposal record reaches 1997; work in 2003 shaped a registry, a list matching each character-selector pair to a form. This extends Han unification: related regional forms share a character code, while publishing, historical research, and names need exact shapes. In Japan, publishing and name records use different collections.
