What ⬢ means
Mostly as decoration, a bullet or a hexagon stand-in. In Unicode, "black" means filled and "white" means outline, so ⬢ is simply the filled hexagon among a set of geometric shapes for diagrams and typesetting.
In practice it marks list items, separates parts of a username or bio, and stands for anything hexagonal: a honeycomb cell, a nut or bolt head, a game board tile, a hexagonal logo. Some people string several together to suggest a honeycomb pattern.
Because it is a font character, it can look slightly different in size and weight from phone to phone, and an old device may show an empty box instead.

3Worth knowing
- Hexagons are everywhere in nature: bees build hexagonal honeycomb cells because the shape tiles a surface with no gaps while using little wax for the walls.
Questions people ask
2Is ⬢ an emoji?
No. It is a regular text symbol with no colour emoji version, so it takes the colour and style of the surrounding text.
Does ⬢ mean anything when someone sends it?
Not on its own. It is a shape used for decoration or as a bullet; read the words around it.
