Block Octant-14567

357/686

𜵪 is a five-part fill pattern inside a text cell. Kaypro used it in a 24 graphics set; rows of tiles made rough images.

What 𜵪 means

It has no fixed pictorial subject on its own. An octant divides a text cell into eight areas; 14567 names the five filled parts.

Kaypro's reverse-video display switched lit and dark areas, creating more block patterns; its 1983 guide describes the 24 text graphics.

Unicode's 2021 proposal included this Kaypro reverse-video graphic so old data could survive conversion and text-mode tools could use its patterns.
