Block Octant 3467

344/686

An octant is one cell in a two-column, four-row grid; this glyph fills four of eight. Kaypro computers used these tiles to draw blocky pictures on text screens; this pattern mapped to their reverse-graphics set.

What 𜵝 means

It fills cells 3, 4, 6 and 7 of the tile.

Kaypro II arrived in 1982 with these text-graphics tiles. Its character map assigns this pattern reverse-graphics byte E3, which swaps light and dark. A 1983 Kaypro 10 guide describes each graphics cell as eight pixels arranged two across and four down.
