A three-part tile for text graphics and pixel mosaics. Kaypro graphics turned character cells into pictures; neighboring patterns can form terminal art.

Text symbol

What 𜵼 means

Cells 3, 4, and 8 are filled. The 24 grid has two columns and four rows: 3 and 4 fill row two; 8 sits bottom-right.

How did a Kaypro screen use this tile?

It made text cells act as pixels. Kaypro graphics on CP/M computers gave text-only screens a basic drawing mode. A 1984 Kaypro 10 guide describes eight individually controlled pixels per character cell. Unicode encoded these patterns for faithful text conversion; aligned tiles can form terminal mosaics.
