What 𜴃 means

One small lit tile for graphics inside a text cell.

Kaypro computers used this character in a two-column, four-row grid inside each text cell. By 1983, the Kaypro 10 manual describes how the eight blocks drew pictures and lines on text screens that could not address individual pixels. The idea parallels earlier Unicode 2×2 quadrant tiles and the 2×3 sextants of Teletext, a television information service. Unicode encoded Kaypro octants for compatibility in 2024.
