The Mattel Aquarius used ready-made character tiles to draw game scenes. In 1983, its beginner's program, Aquarius Logo, taught animation by changing a turtle into a two-tile runner. This glyph is one lower tile.
Why might it look like a box?
The font may not include its drawing. As of 2026, BabelStone Pseudographica includes it; other fonts may show a missing-character box.

It is recent: Unicode added it in version 16.0 (2024), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
