What 嬾 means
It writes 嬾, an older variant of 懶.
In Mandarin, 嬾 is read lǎn and means “lazy” or “idle.” The Eastern Han dictionary Shuowen Jiezi records it with the gloss “slack, idle”; Taiwanese standard writing uses 懶 as the standard form and keeps 嬾 as a variant.
Why does 嬾 have its own code point?
It preserves a legacy distinction for CNS 11643 conversion.
CNS 11643 is Taiwan’s Chinese character encoding standard. Unicode added 嬾 in 2001 to let text convert to that standard and back without losing its character mapping. Unicode normalization maps 嬾 to 嬾, so the separate code point does not survive that step.
A technical encoding form for a Chinese character variant.

Use the standardized sequence 嬾 followed by variation selector UFE00. Unicode defines that sequence to preserve this CJK variant through normalization.
