What 磌 means
It is a compatibility form of the same Chinese character.
CNS 11643-1992 is Taiwan’s Chinese-character encoding standard. A separate code lets text return to that standard with its source character intact. The word is older: the Gongyang Commentary, a classical Chinese text, uses 磌 for the sound of a falling stone; Jiyun, a character dictionary, records the same sense. Guangya Shuzheng, a commentary on an older dictionary, also gives 磌 as the stone beneath a pillar.
Unicode normalization, a text-standardizing process used by software, maps this form to 磌. Afterward, software no longer retains the distinct U2F950 identity; that matters when preserving the source encoding exactly.

Questions people ask
1Why does 磌 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
