What 䃣 means
It represents the Han character 䃣.
The 1716 Kangxi Dictionary, an influential Chinese character reference, glosses 䃣 as 毀 (“ruin” or “destroy”); its Mandarin reading is huǐ.
Taiwan’s CNS 11643-1992 standard assigns it code 7-396D. This separate code lets text from that encoding pass through Unicode and back without losing its source identity.
Why does 䃣 normalize to 䃣?
All four Unicode normalization forms map it to 䃣.
That includes NFC, NFD, NFKC, and NFKD, so even canonical normalization changes the code point.
To retain the variant through normalization, use 䃣 UFE00, a standardized sequence with an invisible variation selector.

Questions people ask
1Why does 䃣 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
