蕤 compatibility form

It is a source-preserving form of 蕤, the character for drooping flowers.

The Eastern Han Chinese character dictionary Shuowen Jiezi describes 蕤 as flowers hanging from plants. A classical Chinese prose-poem also uses it for a dangling ornament on a hat.

Unicode includes 蕤 for lossless conversion with Taiwan's CNS 11643-1992 character set. Text normalization—automatic cleanup that makes equivalent text consistent—maps it to 蕤, so the separate source code point can disappear.
