What 鉼 means
It is a legacy variant of 鉼.
It exists for round-trip compatibility with Taiwan’s CNS 11643 character encoding standard. Unicode reserves it for that purpose; ordinary writing uses 鉼.
The Erya glossary glosses 鉼金 as a metal plate. Zhengzitong, a dictionary, describes cast gold or silver shaped like cakes; the historical book Records of the Three Kingdoms uses 鉼 to count such pieces. Dictionaries also list a cauldron, jar-like vessel, and place-name sense.

Questions people ask
1Can 鉼 become 鉼 when text is saved?
Yes. Unicode normalization maps 鉼 to 鉼 because that is its canonical decomposition. Preserve the original code point when exact legacy text matters.
