What 駂 means
For exact round-trip conversion with an older code set.
The compatibility variant is source entry T6-6450 in Taiwan's CNS 11643 plane 6. A 1979 conference called for a Chinese computer-interchange code; Taiwan began the project in 1980, made it a national standard in 1986, and expanded it from two planes to seven in 1992. Unicode kept the entry for round-trip conversion.
Unicode normalization is a cleanup that gives equivalent encodings one standard form. Even basic NFC maps 駂 to 駂; NFKC does too, removing the original code point. A standardized variation sequence can still request the specific glyph.

Questions people ask
1Why does 駂 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
