What 駾 means
It is a compatibility form of 駾.
The Book of Songs, an early Chinese poetry collection, uses 駾 in a verse. Shuowen Jiezi, a Han-era Chinese dictionary, glosses it as a horse coming swiftly. The 2001 Unicode date marks this code point, not the word’s history.
Why is there a separate code point?
To preserve one CNS character through conversion.
Unicode’s chart traces 駾 to source label T7-3E29 in Taiwan’s CNS 11643-1992, a national encoding for Chinese text. The separate entry lets text convert to Unicode and back without losing the source character.
Unicode normalization changes 駾 to 駾. To preserve the variant, use the standardized sequence 駾︀: 駾 followed by the invisible variation selector UFE00.

Questions people ask
1Why does 駾 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
