What 𢫯 means
One Chinese entry assigns it the verb sense “to hit.”
A rhyme dictionary groups characters by sound. The Tangyun, a rhyme dictionary compiled in 751, is cited in the Kangxi Dictionary’s entry for 𢫯. The Song-era Guangyun, another rhyme dictionary, records the “to strike” gloss in 1008; Kangxi repeats it in 1716 and also cites the Jiyun.
A 2024 Taiwan Ministry of Education list of Taiwanese Hokkien spellings—Hokkien is a Chinese variety used in Taiwan—gives it the reading gua and the example 𢫯著. The glyph also appears in a separate Zhuang writing tradition.

1Why does 𢫯 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
