cjk unified ideograph-2aef2

Han character 𪻲

2035/4154

𪻲 is an old written variant of 琨, a word for fine stone or jade. The Eastern Han character dictionary Shuowen Jiezi records a form with 貫 in place of 昆, a different sound-bearing part for the same word. In Yu Gong, a chapter of the classic Book of Documents about lands and tribute, the variant appears in Yangzhou’s tribute list; commentaries give Mandarin pinyin readings kūn and guàn.

Why does 𪻲 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
