What 詯 means
詯 is a historical Chinese character for bold, forceful speech. Its earliest securely verifiable attestation is in the Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese dictionary compiled during the Eastern Han dynasty; the entry describes boldness and a high voice.
Later lexicons also record “close a market” and “resolve regret.” These are separate historical senses, not a single modern shorthand.
How do I type 詯?
Use Mandarin Pinyin hui or the Cangjie code YRHBU. Pinyin enters Mandarin characters by their syllables using Latin letters; Cangjie is a code-based Chinese character input method. Both routes are documented, but a particular candidate list may omit this rare character.
