What ꬥ means
It writes a Gumuz syllable; it is not a chat signal.
ꬥ is the Cchhe form in Gumuz's Ethiopic writing. The Ethiopic syllabary developed for the Geʽez language and was later extended to additional languages. “Cchhe” is the label in the Unicode character name; its doubled consonants are not a universal pronunciation guide.
In 2009, a Unicode meeting accepted ꬥ as part of a 32-character addition to Ethiopic Extended-A. That records digital standardization, not the origin of this form or of the older Ethiopic script family. The same extension also includes characters assigned to the Gamo-Gofa-Dawro and Basketo languages; ꬥ is assigned to Gumuz.
Read it as a Gumuz writing-system character, not a standalone conversational symbol.
Sent alone, ask what text it belongs to; the glyph does not carry a dependable chat reaction.
