What 넗 means
It combines an initial consonant, a vowel, and a two-consonant final. The romanized label neolh names that written assembly; it is not a translation.
ㅀ is a Korean final consonant cluster: its sound depends on the next letter. In 싫다, ㅎ turns ㄷ into ㅌ, a t with a puff of air; in 싫어도, ㄹ moves into the next syllable; in 싫지, ㅎ turns ㅈ into ㅊ, a ch with a puff of air.
How do I type 넗?
On a two-set Korean keyboard (Dubeolsik), type s-j-f-g. These keys enter ㄴ, ㅓ, ㄹ, ㅎ; the input method editor joins the last pair as final ㅀ. On other layouts, the key mapping varies.
Fonts can move or resize Hangul components inside the square block. The drawing changes; the encoded syllable does not.
How did Hangul final clusters develop?
They belong to the Hangul spelling system developed in the 15th century. Hangul let Korean be written with its own alphabet rather than only through Chinese characters; its explanatory guidebook, 훈민정음, was issued in 1446.
Unicode represents the modern syllable range systematically, including combinations absent from modern Korean use. The Korean word 옳다, meaning “to be right,” uses the same final ㅀ. Earlier spellings include 올다 (15th–18th centuries) and 올흐다 (16th–19th centuries); the modern spelling 옳다 is recorded from the 20th century onward. This is a word’s history, not a meaning of 넗.
Technical Korean spelling; its tone comes from the surrounding word.
Don't substitute 넗 for 넓: the different final cluster changes the spelling.
