What 욜 means
By itself, 욜 is a Korean syllable, not a complete message.
Think of it as one building block, not the whole building. Its famous cameo is as the first syllable of 욜로, the Korean spelling of YOLO. In Korean discussion around 2017, 욜로 could cheer living for present happiness or scold spend-now consumption; English YOLO leaned more impulsive and risk-taking.
The block itself is systematic, not a separate invention. The first notice of Hunminjeongeum appears in Sejong Shilok in 1443, with the explanatory book published in 1446. The script was created to let Koreans write their language more easily than with Chinese characters. 욜 simply combines ㅇ, ㅛ, and ㄹ, so give it no separate ancient origin story.
How do I type 욜?
On the standard Korean 2-set layout, type D, Y, F.
D makes ㅇ, Y makes ㅛ, and F makes ㄹ; the input method snaps them together into 욜 as you type. If Latin letters appear instead, switch the input language to Korean first.
A Unicode-aware tool may show the same syllable as the decomposed sequence 욜. That is a backstage view, not a different character; normal Hangul text keeps it as one block.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.

A visible symbol can contain several code points. JS .length counts UTF-16 units; UTF-8 counts bytes.
