Text symbol

What ֯ means

It links text to a Masorah Parva note.

Masorah is a body of notes about the Hebrew Bible's wording and reading. Masorah Parva notes flag spelling, reading, grammar, or where a form occurs.

Masorah Parva notes connect to the larger Masorah Magna. The wider system's earliest surviving manuscripts are apparently from the eighth century; eastern manuscripts from the 10th and 11th centuries document the circle's placement.

Technical notation in vowel-marked Hebrew Bible text.

It points to a note, not a mark for chanting.
