Long rightwards double arrow

⟹ usually marks one-way implication in logic: the statement on the left leads to the one on the right. It appears in formulas and proofs. ⇒ is the shorter form; ⇔ has a two-way reading.

What ⟹ means

The rightward double arrow means the left side implies the right.

As of 2026, MathML Core marks it as a stretchy infix operator, so a formula renderer may lengthen it.

Is ⟹ the same as ⇔?

No; ⇔ covers both directions.

In logic, ⇔ commonly marks equivalence: each side implies the other.

Why does ⟹ show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
