Lower Left Quadrant Neutral Face

173/686

𜲬 is the lower-left cell of a neutral face made from four screen tiles. It came from the European alternate display set of Sharp's MZ-700 home computer, where pre-drawn characters gave programs graphics on a text screen.

What 𜲬 means

It's the bottom-left tile in a four-cell face drawing.

The MZ-700 launched in 1982. Its built-in character graphics gave text-mode programs ready-made faces and game art, with each screen cell acting like a small tile.

Questions people ask

1

Why does 𜲬 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
