What ⤾ means
Follow the curve clockwise, towards the arrowhead. “Clockwise” means the direction a clock’s hands travel. “Semicircular” describes a half-circle curve, rather than a complete loop. The name’s “lower right” describes the curve’s position, not a straight arrow pointing diagonally downwards.
The shape expresses a turning path, not a fixed command or mathematical operation. If you use it in instructions, add a label saying what should turn; give an angle separately when precision matters.
Fonts can draw the curve with different proportions: Unicode’s reference drawing is not a mandatory outline. Read the direction from the arrowhead rather than measuring the displayed arc.

Questions people ask
1Why do I see a square instead of the arrow?
Your current font may not contain this character. Try a font that supports mathematical symbols; a missing-glyph box does not mean the arrow itself has changed.
